Rest In Peace King Von đź•Š

RIP Von.JPG

I knew about King Von for a couple years now, since Durk brought him on The Breakfast Club. I knew he was a great artist, but I wasn’t really listening to his music like that. I know my best friends have been listening to him more and more as of late, which makes this even harder. Just a few nights ago I was going to send them a pic of me watching Von’s new video with Polo G. I hope they dealing with everything well. They know I’m here if they need me.

The tweet above refers to the “jokes” I see on social media. What is below, I wrote this the afternoon, once I learned that King Von had passed. It bothered me that a couple of minutes after a “RIP” post, people were moving on as if nothing happened. I guess I get it though, we gotta keep moving. We can’t stay stuck forever. I do believe that these words are a reflection of him though. Rest Easy King Von…

RIP King Von. I’m sorry that your life was taken away like this. A week after your debut project, and after 26 years of living, you’ve left us. I promise I feel your loss. I promise I will feel it for a long time. The world needs to do better. I hate that the world is moving on without you. I’m stuck, I’m frozen. But I hope you understand that I have to keep going. I’ll be sad, I’ll be thinking about you, but I’m going to keep working. I know you’d want that for me. I’m going to go at my own pace, but I can’t stop, even though I want to. Love bro. Hope you stay up forever. 🕊🙏
